Virtual House Party

On Saturday, May 16, 2020, the brothers of the Beta Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated in Charlotte, NC, rocked the house with a Virtual House Party to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.,

Members and friends from all across the country participated in the event. Three DJ Kidd, DJ Solo, and DJ Encore, all members of the Beta Rho Sigma chapter, entertained for more than six straight hours in two-hour sets each. The goal of the party was to raise funds to provide relief for those members of the chapter who were currently, or might experience a financial hardship as a result of the economic downturn associated with the pandemic. Chapter President Joseph Rambert said, “I am so proud of how we came together for such a worthy cause. I want to personally thank everyone who logged on to support this cause.” President Rambert went on to say, “ As a fraternity founded on the principles of brotherhood, the success of this party is another example of how we care for our own.” One of the partygoers was so impressed that she remarked, “I can’t wait to meet the Sigmas of Charlotte.”

The event raised over $2100 bringing the total fund value to over $7,000 and will be held in a restricted account earmarked for relief support only.
